Welcome to the start of our weekly farmland real estate and auction price report blogs! The most frequent question I get as a farmland auctioneer and land agent is, "what's my farm worth?" I track farmland sales in Iowa to help answer the question of how much land in Iowa is worth.
There was a total of 2,832 acres that sold during the first week in December. The average price per acre for farmland in Iowa this week is $14,138/acre and $185/CSR2. Northwest, Iowa took the top three spots again this week for highest selling farms.
